This site is dedicated to the memory of Danny Stevenson.

Danny James Stevenson, our beautiful son, passed away on July 25th 2007, aged 2. He contracted Meningococcal Septicaemia and within 4 hours he was taken from us. Danny had been poorly the previous evening but showed no signs of meningitis. When he woke up in the morning the first signs of the rash were visible and he was rushed to Birmingham Children's Hospital. At 7.15am he was diagnosed with meningococcal septicaemia. Danny fought with all his might and the doctors did all that they could do but the disease was too strong and at 9.14am Danny left us. Danny was our only child and the fact he was taken so suddenly from us devastated everyone. Our bright, bubbly, fun loving little boy was gone and there was nothing anyone could have done. That was when we contacted The Meningitis Trust and with their help we set up the Danny Stevenson Tribute Fund. Maybe one day they will find a cure and then no other family will have to go through what we have gone through. We find comfort in the fact that Danny's memory lives on through his tribute fund and that all the people that knew and loved him, and those that were not fortunate to have met him, continue to raise money in his name.
