A Very Busy Year

This year has been quite eventful. In March, on Mother's Day, Danny's little brother, Taylor, was born. He made quite an entrance into the world, 2 weeks early and delivered at home on the bed!!! We all knew though that he was my Mother's Day present from Danny and that he watched over us and kept us safe. It's very bitter sweet watching Taylor grow because we know what a great brother Danny would have been but we talk to him all the time about Danny and know he will be a big part of his life. September saw 13 of us tackle the Five Valleys Walk - Oh My God!!! It was quite possibly the hardest thing we have ever done but the sense of achievement was amazing and to know we had done it for Danny made it even more special. Sponsership money is still coming in so when we have the final figue I will let everyone know. After Taylor was born I was unlucky enough to be made redundant but have just landed my dream job!! As of January I am a Family Support Worker for The Children's Centres. After Danny died my whole outlook on life changed and I decided I wanted to do a job that 'made a difference' (cliched I know!) and that is what I intend to do. I know Danny helped me through the interview and I know he will be with every step of the way whilst I learn my new job. Christmas is just round the corner. Another challenge for us as a family. We'll be watching Taylor enjoying his first Christmas but will be also thinking about the Christmases we had with Danny and how he should still be here with us now. That is something we will never understand. Why Danny...............
